MISSIONS

You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8

Why Missions?

Our heart for missions is best explained by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans:

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:14-15

The Bridge of Hope (Sierra Leone)

The Bridge of Hope partners with the people of Sierra Leone to restore their communities through Christ-centered, community-based ministry. We seek to prioritize projects that are driven by locals and to work alongside indigenous leaders.
The Bridge also provides free education, free healthcare and hygiene training, clean water, economic opportunity, feeding programs and community services as they show the love of Christ to the families of Sierra Leone.

Elisabeth & Socheat Meas

YWAM (Cambodia)

Cambodia’s past is marred with the genocide carried out by the Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979. As of 2013, the Human Development Index (HDI) ranked Cambodia 138th place, which made the nation one of the lowest ranking in terms of human development.  We share Christ's love by praying for revival, building relationships, sending school outreach teams, resources, and staff outreach teams to meet specific needs.

The Moores & The Ostranders

LaOlam (Democratic Republic of Congo & Burundi)

In 2018, the Moores moved to Minembwe, DRC to live and serve on a full-time basis. The region of Minembwe is situated in a remote area in South Kivu, which is in eastern DRC.  The Moores will be working beside locals serving in the areas of education, development, and mentoring, with the hope of helping to bring healing and restoration to this war-torn area.
The Ostranders have extensive experience serving in the Middle East and in Africa, specifically DR Congo, Burundi, and Uganda. Miles’ focus will be overseeing building projects, creating infrastructure for the university, and discipling young men. Emilee will be focused on being a mom to their three daughters. Emilee is also involved with helping rural communities create their own ongoing Community Health and Infant-Maternal Health programs, with a focus on preventative healthcare.

Calvary Chapel Pedregales

Calvary Mt Si and Calvary Chapel Pedregales have partnered with a heart to minister to the needy and lost in Tijuana.

The Acosta Family

Capilla Calvario Pedregales
Pastor Fede Acosta and his wife Nena lead Calvary Chapel Pedregales in a variety of ministries that seek to show the love of Jesus and the power of the gospel to local men, women, youth and children.
Their goal is for the church to minister, equip and prepare God's people for His name's sake.

Deanna Jevas

Saving Grace World Missions
The Lord began calling Deanna to Mexico in 1995 while at Calvary Chapel La Mirada, and she moved in 1996 to serve the children of Tijuana full-time at CC Pedregales.
Deanna continues to lead the Amigos Del Ray soup kitchen and after-school program and share the good news with local families.

Alex Hernandez

Shepherd's Staff
After his first short-term missions trip to CC Pedregales in 2016, the Lord showed Alex the need for spiritual leaders to be raised up at the church.
He now serves at CC Pedregales in the men’s ministry, as well as in the children and youth ministries, with the hope of having people from the church discipled and groomed for church leadership roles.

Amigos Del Ray

Soup Kitchen and After-School Program
This CC Pedregales ministry supports local children by providing life skill, academic and nutrition assistance to those who might otherwise fall through the cracks.

They are conducting a series of interviews with parents to learn more about them and their needs in order to refine the program and share the gospel.
