2025-2026 Preschool Offering
The Preschool program combines ages three through five together into one classroom with special attention offered to every student based on education/ability level. The beauty of the classroom strategy empowers the younger students to learn from the older students, and the older students to develop compassion in working together with younger students. All Preschool classes are 1/2 Day sessions.
The goals of the curriculum are simple — introduce the student to the joy of learning and the satisfaction in a job well done, while keeping Jesus at the center of all we do. The program functions as a biblically based Kindergarten readiness curriculum focused on:

- Age-appropriate, quality content
- Real books — classics that are beautiful and rich
- Well prioritized objectives
- Recitation & Repetition
The format ensures that every student learns to master foundational academic readiness concepts specific to their education level:
- Biblical Devotional and Calendar Time
- Introduction of letters and beginning sounds
- Number recognition 0-15
- Learning to form letters and numbers beginning with tracing
- Recognition of colors and color words
- Reading comprehension and increased vocabulary
- Show & Tell, crafts, music, and poetry

Who is My Teacher?
Mrs. Charissa will be the Lead Preschool Teacher at Calvary Academy. She has taught in various Preschool to Kindergarten level classrooms for over 10 years. She loves being a preschool teacher and is excited to share the love of Jesus using Classical Christian Curriculum again. Charissa is a Washington State native and lives on the 'Ridge' with her husband Justin. Together they have raised two young men, Dillon and Zachary. She likes camping during the warm summer months, enjoys art, knitting, and loves Mexican food.
