"That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God". Philippians 1:9-11

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity". Psalm 133:1

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it".

                                                                                                                                       Proverbs 22:6

It is our purpose and heart's desire that our Children's Ministry be a place where we equip every parent to disciple their own children, and that every child experiences Jesus; to grow in love and serve Him through the teaching of the Bible. To see kids come into relationship with Jesus and grow into maturity.

Safe Families is a ministry that provides an opportunity to support and strengthen local families in crisis by practicing biblical hospitality and extending the love of Christ to families in need. There are many families that do not have the healthy support around them to help care for their kids when they cannot. They do not have that trusted friend or relative that can step in and help when they are in need. Safe Families connects these families with the local church who can come along side and provide temporary care and help. Some of us may open up our homes for a child to stay with us, others may disciple a mom or dad, while others may provide clothing, bedding, toys etc. We are excited about this opportunity the Lord has given us as a church to use our gifts, talents, time, and resources to come together and help families in need. There are many different roles to play in this ministry. Everyone can be involved!

The heart is for our church to show forth compassion and share the gospel with some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Ways to be involved

- hosting a child in your home

contributing needed items

committing to pray

discipling parents and connecting them to local resources

Like being involved behind the scenes? Then the Caring Cooks ministry is for you!

This ministry provides meals to those in need. Usually this is a person that is recovering from surgery or a sickness, or a new mom and dad.

When there is a need, you will receive an email with a schedule and some information about the meal request. You can choose to sign up and then deliver the meal to the home, it’s that easy!  Each meal is a blessing to the person or family receiving it.

Marriage and Family Ministry

For no oner hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are all members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:29-33

The Calvary Mt Si Family Ministry seeks to create opportunities for husbands, wives and parents in all seasons of life to discuss biblical marriage and parenting, to encourage and support each other in times of trial, and to grow our Jesus-centered relationships at home through study and prayer.

Our Goals for fall 2020 are to:

  • Coordinate the creation of relationship-focused small groups to begin meeting in October.

  • Provide biblical study resources on marriage and parenting for group leaders (from sources including Focus on the Family and RightNow Media) and Calvary Mt Si families.

  • Encourage families in the body to pray together, grow together in Christ, and share their best practices for developing and strengthening godly relationships.

What is expected if I host a group?

  • Life groups typically meet in the evening for 1 1/2 to 2 hours either weekly or every other week.

  • We will provide access to video studies to get the discussions going or you can choose a study book after your group is formed.

  • Let us know how many adults and children you can comfortably host in your home and your preferred evenings/times.

  • We request that you commit to at least on complete study session (typically 8-10 weeks depending on what your group chooses).

  • You are not expected to provide a meal or childcare, but your group may decide to team up on those things after it forms.

How do I learn more about hosting or joining a small family group?

So, we being many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them.    Romans 12:5,6

Do you like to help people? This ministry involves being a willing servant. There is always a need for greeters, ushers and coffee house helpers!

In every aspect of hospitality we are opening our hearts in subtle ways to make our church a home  that is welcoming to all and convey the love, grace and compassion of our Lord and Savior in a warm, heartfelt and genuine way to all who come. To deliberately employ greeters as a ministry beyond hospitality in a living expression of the love of Christ.

Join us every Friday 10:30-11:30am for All Church Prayer

Pray for our church body, specific ministries, our leaders. Without the Lord we can do nothing. We need Him!
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”  John 15:5

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great are the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
Psalm 139:17-18

Planned Parenthood Sidewalk Prayer (4th Friday, 9:30-12pm)

Join us in prayer for the unborn.
Have you ever wanted to help and intercede for the unborn and mothers in crisis, but you didn't know what to do? Prayer works!
On the 4th Friday of each month from 9:30am-12pm Kayla Osborn will be leading a prayer group out in front of the Planned Parenthood in Bellevue, WA. The heart is to pray for the unborn, for the mothers, and also for the abortion workers and to interact with whomever God brings our way.
